Premiere Pro + After Effects
Motion Design & Video Editing
A personal short-form video series created to strengthen my editing and motion design skills while challenging myself to become more confident using my voice.
The Challenge
Creating outside my comfort zone.
I started this series as a way to challenge two things at once: becoming more comfortable speaking despite my speech impediment and giving myself a consistent reason to learn Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
Instead of treating the videos like practice exercises, I built them around games, anime, and comics that I genuinely enjoy. That made the process more personal and gave me room to experiment with pacing, narration, typography, transitions, animation, audio, and visual storytelling.
Each reel became an opportunity to communicate an idea quickly, keep viewers engaged, and develop a visual style that feels natural for short-form social media content.
Selected Reels
Turning the things I enjoy into stories worth watching.
Each video explores a different subject while giving me room to experiment with pacing, narration, motion graphics, and the way information is presented on screen.
Pokédex Entry
I wanted this reel to feel like a quick dive into the world of Pokémon. Narration, quick visual changes, and on-screen text keep the information moving without making the edit feel rushed.
Paige
For this reel, I focused on turning a comic character breakdown into something quick and easy to follow. Imagery, narration, and timed text help tell the story without overwhelming the viewer.
Akira Shiroyanagi
Akira’s ability takes a little explaining, so I used pacing, visual examples, and animated text to make the concept easier to understand while keeping the reel entertaining.
No Guns Life
This reel was more about capturing the feeling of an anime I enjoy. I combined clips, narration, text, and tighter pacing to introduce the world and give viewers a reason to check it out.
